The Department of General Education is responsible for providing the general education for undergraduate students and the Pre-University program.
The general education for undergraduate students includes the following six areas (totally 42 credits in general):
Ø University English (12 credits)
Ø University Chinese (3 credits)
Ø University Maths (3 credits)
Ø General Education (16 credits)
Ø Physical Education (2 credits)
Ø Cross-faculty Electives (6 credits)
The Pre-University program is a full time program and the normal study period is one academic year. Students are required to complete a total of 53 credits, and the courses include 7 categories: Chinese, Mathematics, English, Information Technology, Physical Education, General Education and Introduction to University Studies. Students who complete the Pre-University program can directly apply for admission to undergraduate programs.
