Note 1. In accordance with the university regulations on studying of the remedial courses, if a student’s Chinese language scores do not reach the level required to take an undergraduate university Chinese course, he or she is required to take a remedial Chinese course.
Note 2. International students who are non-Chinese speakers or who have not achieved the required proficiency level in the Chinese proficiency assessment may be exempted from taking University Chinese or remedial Chinese. However, these students will be required to take Chinese-related language and culture courses (taught in English) to fulfil the relevant exemption credits.
