On March 17th, 2026, the Pre-U English Role-Play Competition organized by the Department of General Education (DGE) at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was successfully held at room N219. The competition aimed to enhance students' English expression abilities and stage performance skills, showcasing the students' language talents and creative flair through vivid character portrayals.
The competition attracted 12 participating teams from 5 classes of the Pre-U program. Teams performed in an order determined by drawing lots. With exquisite acting skills and fluent English, all participants delivered a spectacular audio-visual feast for the audience.

The atmosphere at the competition was vibrant and enthusiastic. All teams devoted themselves wholeheartedly to their performances, demonstrating contemporary university students' English application abilities and teamwork spirit through vivid body language and infectious dialogue delivery. The adjudicator teachers conducted professional scoring from multiple dimensions including language accuracy, performance appeal, and creative presentation, while audience judges also actively participated in the interaction, casting valuable votes for their favorite teams.
After fierce competition, seven participating teams stood out and successfully advanced to the finals. The final round is scheduled to be held on April 21st, 2026 at the N101 Lecture Theatre, where the advancing teams will compete again for the ultimate honors.
The competition featured a special audience judge segment, with student representatives from various classes forming a judging panel to witness this English language event together. Additionally, student XU Zhumeng brought a special performance, adding highlights to the competition.
The Pre-U English Role-Play Competition is a distinctive practical activity organized by the Department of General Education for the pre-university students.
